I am a final year DPhil student currently undertaking research with the primary objective of developing ultra-low-resistance MgB2 joints. These joints are fabricated using reacted MgB2 wires and are intended for use in persistent coils employed in MRI and NMR devices. My research predominantly focuses on the intricate aspects of processing, characterization, and manufacturing techniques within this context. Additionally, I have been conducting in-depth investigations into the interrelationships between MgB2-NbTi and MgB2-BSCCO dissimilar superconducting joint interfaces.
